September has arrived and with it thoughts of hoodies, apples, evening fires, falling leaves, and pots of soup. We hope you will join us on the western side of the state this fall; after a busy summer attending births and vacations, come cool off and unwind with the sisterhood in the foothills of our beautiful blue ridge mountains.
We are thrilled to be hosting NC midwifery pioneer, herbalist, elder, and wise woman Lisa Goldstein, CNM, CPM at this meeting! Lisa will spin tales and share her wisdom with us. She will also be bringing some goodies to sell! Help us honor her with your presence and support.
We are also offering a Newborn Exam Workshop at this meeting!
Join us for food, community, learning and storytelling. All midwives, students, apprentices, and aspiring midwives are welcome! Please extend this invitation to your birth community.
As a unifying and inclusive alliance of midwives, NCMA provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing community for midwives of all backgrounds. We honor and rejoice in diversity, autonomy, and the strength of unity.
Our Mission is to support the well-being of one another, help ease the isolation of midwifery practice, and to offer opportunities for togetherness and learning. We seek to be a part of all efforts to unify midwifery in North Carolina.
Amy Medwin has generously offered to host us in her home in East Bend, Yadkin County. She can also accommodate overnight guests so come stay the night!
Please join us for potluck lunch at 12pm on October 6th at
1120 Old Ridge Road
East Bend, NC 27018
Please email mare2raven@gmail.com with questions or ideas for the meeting, see you there!
